WORK IN PROGRESS

Platform : PC        Duration of the project :  8 months       Role :  designer / Producer

      Brume is a competitive multiplayer fighting game mixing dynamics of the MOBA and the strategic FPS genres. It is a 3 vs 3 manhunt in a small arena, covered with thick mist. Each team is composed of two fighters and a guide, called Wu Xin. The goal of the game is to take down the enemy Wu Xin while protecting your own.

   The game's aesthetics and symbolism takes a deep inspiration from Chinese and especially Taoist mythology. Each character portrays an allegory of a great concept inspired by Taoist beliefs through their appearance and gameplay. The game offers an original take on information gathering, relying much more on sounds and team communication. Mixed with a punitive and exigent fighting system, this balance rewards the team which coordinates the best.

MY TASKS :

  • worked on on the sound design to support the stressful experience we want to create

  • currently designing the arena's navigation and scale, including several objectives

​

  • designed the in-game UI and the amount of information delivered to the player depending on their situation

​

  • taking care of the producing, establishing milestones and monitoring the team to maintain efficient work and cohesion

​

  • currently designing and balancing the combat dynamic, through the combat system, the information gathering system, and the level design
