     Umbrellads is an adventure game mixing 3D platforming and combat. You play as Lewis, the protector of Umbrelland, a cartoony world floating in the clouds. Because of the Baron Boulon's invasion, this land is now devastated by an endless storm and an army of vicious robots. Your mission is to bring back the sun and fight the Baron's legions off.

      The whole adventure revolves around a dynamic weather system. During certain events, the weather worsens, making the game more difficult by buffing enemies or threatening you with lightning bolts. On the other hand, exploration and combat grant you collectible suns which boost the weather. The better you play, the more you get, which turns the situation to your advantage.

MY TASKS :

  • designed and balanced the combat system, including grouped AI decision-making

  • designed, implemented and balanced several AI's, each having a unique skill set and several behavioral declinations

  • designed and balanced the skill set of the main character

  • designed and balanced the weather system and its interactions with the rest of the game

  • designed and produced the boss experience, consisting of dynamic level design chunks

  • composed the soundtrack and produced the sound effects
